The Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for driving the strategy and delivery of business intelligence analytics, fostering a data-driven culture and enabling the organization to make informed decisions through data. As part of this charter, the role will ensure accessibility to data sets as ‘single source of the truth’ in the company for analysis by the data team or others in the organization. The role will manage a team of analysts and also ‘roll up your sleeves’ to deliver data and insights to internal customers.
Reporting to the CFO, this role will work directly with Finance, Online, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and other teams to develop and deliver valuable insights. The role should have a passion to understand the business and key performance indicators, and work creatively on data currently and potentially available to support different views of the business. Communication is a key attribute to be successful in order to understand the requests from internal customers, prioritize analytics based on potential business impact and manage a team to deliver accurate and insightful data.
Build, develop and maintain highly collaborative working relationships with multiple teams across the business to understand the business and key performance indicators
Maintain structure and systems for data used by data team and others in company in the most efficient and accessible manner possible
Lead and mentor a team reporting the company's key performance indicators, creating recurring reports and dashboards and supporting ad-hoc analysis and deep dives, and also work as a member of the team delivering this work
Maintain list and reporting of key performance indicators and keep in sync with changing needs of the business
Understand the data models from a business perspective to recommend improved, strategic and sustainable data capabilities
Interpret results, conclude actionable recommendations and communicate them effectively to your business stakeholders
Drive effective usage of Domo as primary data visualization tool across the company
Investigate options for centralized data repository for key information from various sources including data warehouse
Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Computer Science or equivalent technical degree required - advanced degree or MBA is a plus
At least 6 years minimum work experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or product management, and at least 2 years minimum experience as a manager
Experience leading and mentoring a team to successful individual and team performance with the team being viewed as contributing to business success
Deep experience in advanced Excel, SQL, BigQuery and is able to create complex queries - Python is a plus
Strong capabilities with business intelligence, marketing and testing tools such as Domo, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Marketo and Salesforce to create fast and informative insights
History of supporting range of business units/functional departments in more than one geographic location
Demonstrated ability to look beyond initial data request from internal customers to deliver business insight that drives good decisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and efficiently help the business think through problems with data
Ability to understand the nuances of web data sources and internal data sources and how they can impact insights
Attention to detail and agility to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to juggle multiple projects and pivot based on changes in priorities
A great sense of humor and loves working with people as much as data
Previous experience working with a large volume of data
Previous SaaS or tech startup experience
