Student Ambassador

Start Date: ASAP

Devpost’s mission is to help developers find fulfilling work. We do this by helping them find jobs and internships, and by powering the majority of online and in-person hackathons around the globe. As a Devpost student ambassador, you’ll be in charge of promoting Devpost on your campus. You will ensure usage at campus events, drive student sign-ups, and market our product to local companies who are hiring students.

What you’ll do

  • Recruit student developers and hackers on-campus to sign-up and use Devpost

  • Research and/or pitch companies hiring on-campus to sign-up for our internship platform

  • Promote Devpost at on-campus events and hackathons, and support organisers and participants.

  • Generate student participation in Devpost online hackathons

  • Collect feedback and help improve Devpost for our users and customers.

  • Report on your progress regularly with your manager

Requirements / Qualifications

To be a great student ambassador you must be a highly responsible individual with strong communication and organisational skills.

We are looking for:

  • Current full-time college student - Sophomore/Junior preferred though exceptions can be made

  • An engaged member of campus life, preferably with a wide college network

  • Someone comfortable working remotely

  • Average commitment of 5 hours per week

Bonus Points

  • Hackathon organiser experience

  • Marketing, entrepreneur or sales experience

Interview Process

We strive to make our interview process efficient and not scary! :) It involves a phone screening with your manager, another with your manager’s manager, and last, we’ll want to speak with at least one reference.
