Demonstrate ability to perform functions of a staff assistant/staff accountant role and take on more complex tasks as learning progresses.

Training and support provided in a highly functioning, positive, collaborative team-based setting.

Given a wide variety of diversified accounting assignments under the supervision of skilled professionals while often working directly with clients to support and problem solve accounting related needs.




At least 3-5 years professional office or finance/accounting office environment experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (concentration in Accounting/Finance).

Computer proficiency and spreadsheet software program experience, including Microsoft Excel.

Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles.

Holding a current and valid Certified Public Accountant’s license is desired, but not required.


Bonus Points:

Record transactions in ledgers, prepare trial balances and simple financial statements using QuickBooks Pro and QuickBooks Online.

Reconcile accounts to control accounts.

Perform schedule computations of accruals, property, and equipment, and calculate depreciation expense.

Prepare client payrolls.

Prepare payroll tax, sales or other local tax returns.

Perform other accounting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Obtain working knowledge of accounting, depreciation and tax computer software.
