Quality Assurance Analyst

Our expansion has created the need for a talented and experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control Analyst to join our Product team. Your challenge: 

Definitive Healthcare’s products are developed with a focus on uncompromising quality and attention to detail. We need your help to accomplish this through a variety of responsibilities.  As our first Quality Assurance/Quality Control Analyst, you will work closely with our DevOps engineer, product analysts, and software developers to test our pre-production and Production environments that include both database and web server changes that are executed by the broader Product team. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you will develop and maintain the process to support Definitive Healthcare’s web application that garners traffic from 10,000 users on weekly basis. You will also be responsible for communicating action plans based on testing notes to the team on a regular basis as well as begin to build and integrate a test automation suite into our delivery pipeline. Our goal is to ensure that all users of Definitive Healthcare’s products have a seamless, consistent, and predictable experience.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Create, execute and revise test plans that will put our products through rigorous unit and production level testing
  • Perform product testing through the release cycle – including software and database changes – by executing performance tests, smoke tests, user acceptance tests, and regression tests as required
  • Partner with our DevOps Engineer to incorporate test automation suite into our delivery pipeline
  • Re-test resolved defects/bugs and update tests cases based on discovered defects/bugs
  • Participate in weekly & monthly release test cycles
  • Conduct project post implementation reviews for large projects to identify lessons learned and actions for continuous improvement
  • Write test reports and provide input to the team to improve the test process
  • Consistently monitor and test the live production environments in between release cycles 
  • Help to diagnose performance bottlenecks
  • Escalate, in timely manner, any conflicts and issues and provide input for resolution

Requirements: 

  • BS degree and 2+ years of software testing experience
  • Demonstrated ability in test planning, development, execution, reporting, and analysis
  • Familiarity with Asana, Azure DevOps, or other common project management and bug tracking software
  • Fastidious attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate to a diverse set of stakeholders, including technical and non-technical team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Technical skills (e.g., writing SQL code, automating test scripts) in testing are a plus but not required
