Sales Representative- Consumer Equipment

Sales | Lancaster | Full Time

Job Description

Purpose:

Sells new and used consumer equipment and provides product expertise and support to customers and dealership personnel. Proactively engages customers to invest in the products and services of Deer Country Farm & Lawn.

Responsibilities:

  • Represents the Company for the sale of machinery to customers
  • Generates new customer leads and develops customer referrals
  • Work towards Company and individual sales goals as defined by Manager
  • Adheres to defined sales process, including call reports
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all dealership equipment
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and communicates to management
  • Captures and records all customer information
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers
  • Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and follows evaluation process for trades
  • Educates customers on their equipment purchases and maintains relationship after the sale
  • Answers telephone and completes all sales orders and documentation promptly, thoroughly, courteously, and accurately
  • Demonstrates a genuine concern for Company, as a whole, by promoting teamwork and maintaining positive attitude
  • Exhibits outstanding communication skills and cooperates with other departments and locations within company
  • Helps with managing inventory (i.e. orders, tagging, pricing, etc.)
  • Represents Company at applicable events/seminars

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 1+ years equipment sales experience
  • Knowledge of equipment preferred
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Must be flexible with hours, working most Saturdays mandatory, some evenings
  • Ability to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a group
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
