Lawn Equipment Driver (Non-CDL)

Purpose:

Operates vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership and may complete light on-the-road repair work. May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pick-up equipment from other vendors as needed
• Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed per service managers direction
• Does final quality control inspection of equipment before delivering to customer
• Maintains records of pickup and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts as required
• Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties
• Maintains assigned truck and related equipment in good condition
• Assists with assembly of new equipment at the dealership as needed
• May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required
• May require light service work on-the-road with attachment change overs, deck installs and/or snow equipment
• May complete on-the-road oil changes, blade sharpening, and/or belt replacements as directed by Service Manager
• Maintains a positive attitude and representation of Company
• Relays all customer issues to Service Manager immediately

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• Valid insurable driver’s license required
• Med card
• Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly
• High School diploma or equivalent experience
