IT, Purchasing & Safety Specialist

Job Description


Provides technology support and performs basic technology maintenance for the company. Champions company safety culture and completes purchasing projects.


  • Provides IT support to employees at all locations by prioritizing, troubleshooting and resolving problems quickly and accurately

  • Monitors, maintains, develops and safeguards dealership technology systems

  • Escalates unresolved support issues to appropriate third-party vendor when necessary

  • Reports on the status of technology issues and gaps within various technology systems

  • Maintains knowledge of current and new technology

  • Maintains IT asset information to manage lifecycle and advises on new technology purchasing

  • Maintains company phone system & manages company cell phone plan and usage

  • Obtains, reviews and presents options for purchasing various goods/services to leadership to ensure the company is maximizing value and minimizing cost across all locations

  • Maintains relationship with vendors and takes the lead to resolve issues when they arise

  • Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends and recommending areas for improvement

  • Creates, implements and enforces company safety policies and best practices

  • Leads company safety initiatives such as: regular safety committee meetings, site inspections, annual safety day, new hire safety orientation, etc.

  • Ensures clear, concise and timely information/communication across all responsibilities

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong communication, computer and time management skills

  • Experience with end-user support and troubleshooting desired

  • Experience with routers, servers, and network technology desired

  • Must be physically able to perform minor lifting of equipment, climbing or crawling to install equipment and run cables and occasionally long periods of time sitting at a workstation

  • Must be willing to travel to different company locations as needed/directed

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience

  • Information Technology certification or equivalent experience preferred

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Interest and formal or informal training or experience in company safety program implementation

  • Previous experience with safety compliance is a plus
