Equipment Delivery Driver

Purpose:

Operates vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership. May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pick-up equipment from other vendors as needed
• Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed per service managers direction
• Does final quality control inspection of equipment before delivering to customer
• Maintains records of pickup and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts as required
• Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties
• Maintain assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition
• Assists with assembly of new equipment at the dealership as needed
• May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required
• Maintains a positive attitude and representation of Company
• Relays all customer issues to Service Manager immediately

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in operating lawn equipment and non-CDL driving experience
• Skills: Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs repeatedly
• Must possess or have ability to obtain valid medical DOT card within two weeks of employment
• Valid insurable driver’s license required
• Working Conditions: Ability to work extended/flexible hours that may include some scheduled Saturdays
