Description

We are seeking an Install Tech Apprentice to join our team in Klamath Falls and be a part of the Oregon East Gov't team at Day Wireless. This role offers hands-on training in a wide range of technical environments — from installing equipment in emergency vehicles to supporting dispatch centers and working at tower sites.

This is not a desk job. This is a career path.

This will start out Part time and move into a full time position as you learn and as work is available.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with vehicle upfitting (lighting, radios, consoles, wiring)

• Support dispatch center installations and service

• Help with radio system troubleshooting and maintenance

• Assist with tower site work, including antenna and cable installation

• Travel locally as needed

• Learn industry standards for public safety communications systems

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Comfortable using hand and power tools

• Willingness to work indoors, outdoors, and occasionally at heights

• Doing what is right for our Customers.

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

• Ability to take direction and learn quickly

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• You have the ability to enter your time on time every time.

• You have the ability to respond to emails in a timely manner

• Previous Public Safety Radio Experience or HAM experience.

Bonus (But Not Required)

• Basic electrical or low-voltage experience

• Experience with automotive wiring

• OSHA or safety training

• Previous construction, automotive, or technical background
