Business Development Representative

T1 | SeaTac, WA | Full Time | From $50,000 to $60,000 per year

*Candidate can be located in SeaTac, Pasco, Yakima, or Burlington.


Summary:

The primary focus of a Business Development Representative (BDR) is the sale of Mobile Up-fitting equipment and installation service to the First Responder entities within the assigned Territory. The BDR will support the assigned DWS service center locations that are set up for Upfitting service. The work environment is fast paced, requiring excellent customer service skills, selling skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously where accuracy and attention to detail is critical.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate outbound business development sales calls to prospective customers
  • Outbound calling sales skills are required
  • Schedule customer meetings for new business and customer service follow-up.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Answer any inbound sales calls, email inquiries, and assist customers with their needs
  • Manage quotes/orders with correct pricing and product availability
  • Initiate sales and provide customers with quotes, offers new customers credit terms, and is the liaison between customers and company credit departments and service team
  • Ability to work through all levels of public entities from user, management, to procurement. Understanding of government procurement/budgeting process.
  • Attends new product training as needed
  • Articulate the value proposition of our products and services to convert prospects to customers
  • Proven success in ability to close new business
  • An understanding of radio concepts and a moderate understanding of general wireless technology
  • Familiarity with Public Safety/First Responder agencies
  • Willingness to travel throughout the territory. Overnight trips may be necessary.


Required Experience:

  • Business to business sales experience
  • Working with government entities is a plus
  • 3-5years outside sales, customer service, forecasting sales
  • Experience using Outlook, Excel, database software
  • Experience selling product or service over the phone
  • Experience with automotive market and vehicle electronics
  • Past experience in selling technical products is a plus
