Moodle Support Analyst

Job Description

Position Overview

As a Moodle Learning Platform Specialist, you'll be the technical backbone for our educational clients' online learning environments. You'll solve complex technical challenges, optimize system performance, and ensure educators and students have seamless learning experiences on their Moodle platforms.

Your Impact Areas

Technical Problem-Solving

  • Deliver responsive support through our multi-channel help system (tickets, email, calls)
  • Apply diagnostic expertise to resolve configuration issues, plugin conflicts, and integration problems
  • Troubleshoot and fix user access challenges, course structure issues, and assessment complications
  • Create clear solution documentation to build our knowledge resource library

Platform Management

  • Execute strategic system updates and maintenance to keep learning environments current
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement optimization strategies
  • Administer user security frameworks including accounts, permissions, and role structures
  • Configure and maintain the plugin ecosystem and third-party integrations

Client Success Partnership

  • Build strong technical relationships with assigned educational institutions
  • Conduct proactive check-in sessions to prevent potential platform issues
  • Develop and deliver targeted training for both administrators and educators
  • Create customized documentation for institution-specific configurations

Implementation & Development

  • Guide successful platform launches and migration projects
  • Ensure quality control during system upgrades and new feature rollouts
  • Collaborate with our development team on custom learning solutions
  • Contribute technical expertise during planning and requirements phases

Your Expertise & Skills

Technical Qualifications

  • Proven 2+ year track record supporting Moodle learning environments
  • Deep understanding of Moodle's architecture and administrative framework
  • Practical SQL experience and database management capabilities (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
  • Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, PHP)
  • Comfort with Linux/Unix server environments
  • Understanding of API integrations and web services

  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Arabic)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
