Healthcare Business Developer

Job Description

Position Overview

Lead the commercial strategy for selling our Healthcare AI solution to UK hospitals and the NHS, driving revenue growth and market expansion across primary care, urgent care, and integrated care settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting NHS trusts, Integrated Care Systems (ICS), and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)
  • Navigate NHS procurement frameworks, tendering processes, and commissioning cycles
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers within NHS , including GPs, ICBs, commissioners, and healthcare executives
  • Understand and articulate the value proposition and ROI of our solution to healthcare stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue relevant funding opportunities (e.g., NHSX AI Awards)
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with NHS
  • Provide market intelligence to inform product development roadmap
  • Identify and prioritise scalable services, defining roadmaps for product-market fit across urgent care, primary care, and ICS settings
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and tailored commercialisation plans for key services
  • Champion commercial sustainability by enabling innovation teams to develop scalable, revenue-positive services
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to align commercial objectives with clinical and operational priorities

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience selling healthcare technology solutions to the NHS
  • Proven track record of successful sales to NHS trusts, health boards, and commissioning
  • Deep understanding of NHS procurement frameworks and buying cycles
  • Knowledge of healthcare economics and ability to build convincing ROI cases
  • Experience with G-Cloud, NHS SBS, or other relevant frameworks
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of the clinical and operational drivers in NHS acute settings
  • Experience with digital health innovation including virtual care solutions, telephony systems, and robotic process automation (RPA)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across NHS and private sector healthcare organisations
  • Track record in developing commercial strategies that deliver revenue growth and business transformation
  • Expertise in contract and risk management for healthcare technology solutions
  • Demonstrated ability in performance management and driving organisational change
  • Experience in NHS commissioning processes and understanding of primary care networks
