Hr Generalist

As the Human Resource Generalist, you will play a key role in ensuring that we continue to encourage, support and retain our employees. You’ll be responsible for the full scope of Human Resources (HR) activities, including hiring and staffing, training and development, compensation and benefits, and health and safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote core values and company culture
  • Perform new employee orientations and update records of new hires
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the organization and in the field of Human Resources
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related matters
  • Strong ability to deliver difficult or complex messages to teammates in an effective manner preserving teammate engagement
  • Manages time and resources effectively through strong organization, multi-tasking, delegation, time management and project management skills
  • Assist in recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts
  • Answering benefit and other HR related questions for employee-owners
  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
  • Assist in planning employee activities to increase employee engagement
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates
  • Works independently as a self-starter committed to delivering the highest in customer service, quality and results
  • Provides individual coaching/counseling to all teammates using conflict resolution and mediation techniques, intervention and change management strategies as circumstances dictate. Refers teammates to the appropriate resources/services, where applicable

Professional knowledge and skills:

  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Experience and Knowledge of Immigration process is not required but must be willing to learn
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various HRIS
  • Respond to issues in a timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi task
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
