Curo Pet Care is seeking a veterinary industry professional to join our team as a Veterinary Compliance Manager - DVM Compensation & Workplace Safety. The role will be responsible for supporting the timely and accurate compensation of our veterinarians as well as the administration of workplace safety matters across all locations. This is a multi-hat position - serving as both the lead executor on all matters pertaining to DVM compensation and the primary facilitator for workplace safety initiatives. It is a critical role that is essential to maintaining the integrity of our operations as we continue to scale.

Curo today is a family of over 70 independent veterinary hospitals, many of which have been significantly renovated since partnership or built from the ground up. They are highly profitable and well-positioned for growth with strong support from the ownership team.
As Veterinary Compliance Manager - DVM Compensation & Workplace Safety, you will be responsible for:
- Veterinary Compensation:
- Interpret and assign employment agreements to the appropriate commission profiles;
- Establish new commission profiles in practice management software (PIMS) when necessary;
- Review automated production bonus calculations for accuracy on a monthly basis;
- Process monthly and quarterly production bonus payments;
- Routinely audit doctor compensation across all platforms (contracts, payroll and PIMS) with a highly critical eye;
- Manage employment agreement lifecycles, communicating upcoming deadlines and goals to the appropriate parties;
- Engage with our Practice Managers, Practice Partners and Associate Veterinarians to respond to all compensation inquiries with a concierge mindset.
- Workplace Safety:
- Oversee incoming reports of workplace injury from our portfolio of partner hospitals;
- Engage with Practice Managers & team members to compile thorough documentation on all workplace injuries;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Worker’s Compensation claims, ensuring that claims are actively resolved and employee concerns readily addressed;
- Maintain and file OSHA 300 series forms;
- Prepare & distribute workplace injury guides at launch and on policy renewal (yearly);
- Prepare monthly reports on ongoing claims, injury trends and hot spots;
- Distribute safety related materials such as workplace postings, IILPs, monthly training documents, compliance checklists etc.
This is a part-time hourly position with plenty of growth opportunities. We anticipate an average of 20 hours per week, though the right individual demonstrating strong aptitude and initiative in the field of workplace safety can rapidly scale to a full-time position.
Successful candidates will have a solid background in veterinary operations leadership, demonstrate an acute attention to detail and lead with curiosity.
