To support our company’s rapid growth, we are hiring a Sales Development Representative to help us transform and modernize the commercial real estate industry.  As part of our entrepreneurial team, you will be integral to growing our business by communicating directly with leaders of the most innovative real estate investment firms across the U.S. We operate in a fast-paced, dynamic and exciting environment at CrowdStreet, so you should be able to thrive in that environment to be successful.

What You'll Be Doing

The Sales Development Representative plays a critical role in growing our business. The main focus of this position is to engage qualified prospects through verbal and written communication tactics.You will accomplish this by making calls and e-mails within a defined territory and setting sales appointments for the Account Executives. You should be a great teammate who is very driven, methodical, tenacious, and who can effectively engage with a large volume of prospects in a short amount of time.

What We Must Have

  • Phone Experience: Whether it’s direct phone sales, a previous SDR or MDR role, fundraising phone work, political campaign phone banking, etc., you must have some experience prospecting/selling or working on the phones.

  • Self-Starter: Be hard-working, persistent and self-motivated.

  • Curious: Be inquisitive and skilled at asking great questions.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Have a clear and concise communication style along with excellent phone skills, phone etiquette, written and oral communication skills. Professionalism and comfort speaking with C-suite executives.

  • Assertive: Possess the ability to ask for the sale (booking an appointment for your Account Executive), and do so in a way that comes naturally within the context of each outbound call.

Not Required, But Nice to Have

  • One to three years at a Business-to-Business organization in an Inside Sales Development or Inside Sales role – recent graduates welcome

  • Exposure to commercial real estate transactions

  • Fintech or finance industry experience

  • Software sales or marketing experience

  • Undergraduate Degree
