About the role

CrowdFlower is looking for a Marketing Coordinator passionate about working in a marketing organization in a rapidly growing organization. This is a rare chance to work in an environment and company helping to drive the future of AI and Machine Learning.

The Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing short and long-term marketing strategies to drive user acquisition and engagement for the CrowdFlower human-in-the-loop platform. This position will have a close working relationship with other teams in the organization, such as Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success.

The Marketing Coordinator position is an ideal role for a candidate new to Marketing, as you have the unique opportunity to receive experience in all aspects of Marketing. As the CrowdFlower Marketing organization grows, this is a fantastic opportunity to move from generalist into a more defined role within the organization. The Marketing Coordinator must be a team player and able to work cross-functionally across the Marketing organization and will assist each team: Corporate, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing. The role requires exceptional organizational, flexibility and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize projects with autonomy.



  • Responsibilities could encompass any number of needs across the marketing organization in ad hoc fashion including the following:

  • Keep promotional materials and giveaways ready by coordinating requirements with marketing and design, communicating with vendors, placing orders, and maintaining inventory

  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing marketing/sales data

  • Own and maintain various marketing assets such as customer reference guides, statistic and quote databases and use-case libraries

  • Research competitors and identify and evaluate product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising

  • Assist in planning meetings and tradeshows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists

  • Develop Marketing collateral to distribute internally to Sales

  • Assist and maintain CrowdFlower social channels like the blog, Twitter, and LinkedIn



  • BA/BS degree required

  • Track record of driving of successfully managing multiple projects

  • Ability to not only deal with chaos, but to thrive in it

  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate and simplify ambiguous, complex, and large-scale tasks and concepts

  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
