About the role

CrowdFlower is looking for an experienced manager with expertise in all aspects of people operations within a fast moving startup in the heart of San Francisco.  The successful candidate will act as an employee champion, assess and anticipate HR-related needs, form partnerships across the business and deliver excellent service to the executive team. This position will report to the VP Finance & Administration.

 

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition

    • Manage recruiting: from original job requisitions, creation of job descriptions, pre-screening candidates etc. to scheduling interviews and aggregating interview outcomes.

    • Draft employee documents: offer letters, agreements, changes in employment etc.

    • Manage new hire onboarding process: coordinate with IT, set up desks, assist with new hire paperwork, employee introductions and orientation sessions.

  • Employee Success:

    • Assist with Global Mobility & Immigration related queries as needed

    • Responsible for maintaining all HRIS data and ensuring information is accurate and  current.

    • Process terminations and conduct or arrange appropriate exit interviews.

    • Facilitate payroll and benefits administration with third-party service providers.

    • Assist with compensation and classification issues

    • Review employee complaints and ensuring accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues

    • Facilitate actions to resolve the employee issues and escalating them to the management team

    • Champion employee development: assist with career planning, help align employee potential with company needs.

    • Create and coordinate annual employee review processes ensuring timely completion and actionable outcomes.

    • Assist in ensuring that we maintain compliance with Occupational Health, Safety and other regulatory requirements.

    • Managing all employee relations activities, including team meetings, demos, meals,   events etc while keeping to budgets agreed with management.

  • Facilities Management:

    • Ensure the office is a secure, healthy and happy place to work

    • Ensure efficiency is built into work spaces so that employees can do their best work.

    • Serve as the liaison with building management

    • Project manage office moves and renovations

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required

  • 3+ years of HR experience with broad experience in all aspects of employee recruiting, onboarding, and developing

  • Demonstrated capacity to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
