Summary

The Director, Operations is a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the business executive team to lead, define and implement business strategy and vision. The Director, Operations consults on strategic and cross-disciplinary initiatives while ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice. As a primary point of coordination with Cresa’s corporate teams and resources, the Director, Operations focuses on supporting and expanding the business while providing an exceptional team member experience. The Director, Operations gain influence with the teams they support through their ability to build and maintain their respect, trust, and confidence.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Cultural Stewardship - promote, defend, and operate within our cultural values. Assist in change management for culture integration and evolution.

2. Operations

  • Define and implement Broker enablement initiatives.
  • Organize, develop content, and execute sales meetings in partnership with leadership team.
  • Assist in management of broker WIP / Pipeline, broker teams, and account teams.
  • Develop strategies to optimize operations, ensuring plans are understood and endorsed by key stakeholder; drive new concepts, presentations, and approaches to high-level stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with HQ teams to optimize access to Cresa resources.
  • Drive utilization of CRM platform (Salesforce) and other technology tools implemented in the region and coordinate technology initiatives and training on platforms within the greater Cresa population.
  • Assist in development and lead the strategy for the leadership teams through implementation of programs and initiatives directed by leadership teams and HQ Operations.
  • Liaison for HQ operational initiatives and responsible for communication of initiatives within the business supported.
  • Interpret ideas into formal plans, present budget impacts, and ROI.
  • Manage marketing resources; develop, recommend, and implement marketing strategies for the business; facilitate execution of Cresa’s initiatives within the local markets.
  • Plan internal events, including sales & tech platform trainings (in partnership with Marketing).
  • Supervise general operation of physical offices (moves, adds, changes).
  • Oversee reception-specific tasks and projects, as well as personnel who execute the process for individual and office real estate licensing and local marketing and research department in tandem with HQ.
  • Manage office vendor and contracts for office equipment, subscriptions, etc.
  • Oversee the procurement of office supplies, kitchen resources, and catered meals to support staff needs and ensure seamless execution of internal meetings and events.

3. Revenue Strategy and Growth Leadership

  • Manage weekly meeting regarding business development both on technology and brokerage
  • Assist in establishing relationships with Cresa offices where partnering will be appropriate
  • Assist in recruiting brokers and business development personnel
  • Work with management to evaluate establishing local offices in Pittsburgh, Austin, Los Angeles, and Memphis. If approved, manage the expansion into these markets.
  • In coordination with Cresa’s M&A and national recruiting team, facilitate the M&A and recruiting processes.

4. Business Partner to the HQ Finance / Accounting Team

  • Partner with the finance team for budgeting, forecasts, and annual and quarterly business review preparations.
  • Ensure operational compliance with HQ finance initiatives and reporting requirements.
  • Supervise accounts payable in reviewing invoices and approving for payment. Review all expense reports prior to forwarding to finance.
  • Manage operating expenses for the business supported (vendor payments, internal / external events, lease opex, etc.).

5. Business Partner Support/HR Partnership

  • Partner with the HR Business Partner; coordinate team member life cycle through hiring, development, performance management, retention and end of relationship.
  • Coordinate with centralized IT to order equipment for new hire onboarding.
  • Ensure offices comply with roll out of HR initiatives, training and benefit programs.
  • Manage non-client facing team members locally, including PTO requests.
  • Partner with the HR Business partner and management to evaluate and recommend annual salary increases and bonus amounts based on performance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • Financial, marketing, and operational acumen
  • Operating experience with P&L accountability within a finance and operational context
  • 10+ years of increasingly responsible operational experience with an outstanding professional record
  • Experience using information technology as it applies to operations to drive performance and productivity enhancements
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally; well-developed presentation skills
  • Strong business sense; can decipher priorities and make sound judgment calls when needed
  • Commitment to excellence; performs duties at the highest level on a consistent basis
  • Demonstrated ability and temperament to work with sensitive information
  • Team player with proven track record of team-oriented experience and approach
  • Familiarity with real estate and professional services firms is preferred but not required.
