Technical Sales Engineer

Job Description

Leading Process equipment/systems manufacturer is looking for a highly-motivated Technical Sales Engineer to provide design and sales support to existing and prospective customers. 

Technical Sales Engineer to assist clients and sales teams in designing and developing process systems to suit their specifications.  Work with new and existing clients to develop specifications, create initial designs in AutoCAD (P&IDs, PFDs) and engineering calculations.  Provide project scope & schedules, cost estimates/pricing and resources, and lead cross-functional teams to prepare bids, and follow through to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.  Work with Purchasing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Vendors/Suppliers, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to ensure projects run smoothly and adhere to quality and industry standards.  Present project updates throughout the process to the customer.  Maintain customer contacts after the proposal, providing follow-up responses and additional information as necessary. Communicate award information to organization in a timely and thorough manner.


  • BSME, BSMET, BSChE, or related degree.
  • 4+ years in Technical Sales & Engineering in process or power equipment
  • Strong background in building accurate quotes, estimates and proposals.
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Project Engineering skills
  • Well-honed communication & presentation skills
