Overview:
We are a well-established, family-owned hotel in Boone, NC, seeking a dedicated and success-driven Executive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping and laundry departments. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires an energetic individual who can juggle multiple tasks while maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards across both guest rooms and public areas.
As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for supervising and coaching your team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness while also maintaining positive guest interactions and addressing their needs. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Team Management: Supervise, train, and coach housekeeping staff to ensure they follow procedures and uphold cleanliness standards.
Quality Assurance: Conduct room inspections to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness and quality standards.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Guest Relations: Greet and acknowledge guests, responding to inquiries and resolving concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Scheduling: Create weekly employee schedules based on projected occupancy and staffing needs.
Training & Safety: Ensure staff are trained on the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, with a focus on safety and compliance.
Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the maintenance department and Assistant General Manager (AGM) for reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
Hands-On Work: In addition to overseeing the team, clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed during peak demand times or when the team requires assistance.
Job Requirements:
Hotel Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of hotel experience is required. Candidates without a background in hotel housekeeping or a related role will not be considered
Bilingual: Preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and be fully mobile.
Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge and the ability to operate a two-way radio.
Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and inclement weather conditions. This position requires availability as our hotel operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
Pass Drug Test & Background Check: All candidates must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
Reference Check will include being able to contact previous employers, and we need to know you have left your previous properties in good standing
