Project Manager

Job Description

Position: Project Manager  

 

Reports to: Portfolio Lead, Client Services 

Description: The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of client engagements for a group of accounts. As a key client-facing team member, the PM serves as a liaison between the client and the Cook Ross client team and ensures that Cook Ross consistently meets client expectations. In addition to ensuring work is delivered on time and on budget, the PM is responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships to maximize client satisfaction. 

Responsibilities 

Relationship and Project Management (90%) 

  • Exercise and apply business judgment in decision making and management escalation 

  • Partner with key team members across multiple client accounts to manage full project lifecycle, implementing resource strategies for specific projects and meeting client and internal deadlines and budget 

  • Manage all aspects of client engagement regarding scope of delivery, budget, timeline and required deliverables, teaming with client services associates for support 

  • Create statements of work for external resources, track project progress, provide status reporting and escalation, invoice support 

  • In collaboration with project lead consultant, execute project kick off phase to ensure all team members are enabled for success 

  • Manage delivery logistics in collaboration with team members to include technical and special client requests and feasibility of travel itineraries 

  • Communicate project status and changes to all project stakeholders 

  • Manage project close-out processes, including client satisfaction survey 

  • Assists Finance in invoice administration and collection. 

  • Track and maintain all client activity budgets and project financials 

  • Supports business development process for existing clients by identifying future opportunities 

 

Brand Stewardship (10%) 

  • Manages internal projects as assigned, to improve processes and team success 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years as a program/project/engagement manager for non-profit or mission-driven organization preferred 

  • Ability to manage multiple short and long-term engagements through all aspects of a project life cycle 

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 

  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationship skills 

  • Ability to create and present client proposals for project work 

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and ability to learn new technologies 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 

  • PMP certification preferred 

 

Physical, Educational, Travel Requirements: 

Position may involve occasional travel to develop client relationships on site. Travel time will vary depending on demand.
