Project Manager

Consulting and Strategy | Silver Spring, MD | Full Time

Responsibilities: 

Optimize and Enhance Operational Processes 50%

  • Contribute to practice development initiatives including culture building, eminence, solution development, research, and thought leadership
  • Maintain and accurately update data in the organizations’ Client Relationship Management Tool, Time tracking, and Knowledge Management systems
  • Actively track, monitor, and manage resourcing needs (source schedules to ensure workforce coverage)
  • Monitor, Report and Track organizational KPI’s associated with the assigned line of business 
  • Coordinate and support Quality Assurance Reviews of assigned client work products and services
  • Collect metrics and data that assist in measuring performance, quality, and customer satisfaction 

Client/Project Delivery 35%

  • Support the management of day-to-day project activities for project teams (i.e., scheduling, coordination, and logistics of project work)
  • Develop project plans, delivery schedules, and milestone markers to track, manage, monitor, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle 
  • Manage and ensure all aspects of client contract are upheld regarding the scope of delivery, budget, timeline, required deliverables
  • Apply consulting methods, tools, strategies, and frameworks needed to meet the demands of the project
  • Contributes to the design and development of collateral and deliverables (i.e., current state assessments, strategy, change and communications plan, strategy lab, learning and training courseware delivery)
  • Report and escalate concerns to Director of Consulting and Strategy  
  • Serve as point of contact for subcontracted consultants (when necessary)
  • Track and maintain all client records including project-specific data, opportunities, and financials

Support Business Development Initiatives 15%

  • Contributes to new business proposals and proposal development, through participation in project scoping and resourcing discussions
  • Supports management of opportunities in the Lines of Business pipeline
  • Submit requests for new scopes of work back to Business Development staff to scope and move to contract
  • Partner with Director of Consulting and Strategy, Business Development and Learning & Innovation to advise on proposals and solutions that are complex and need customization
  • Support business development presentations and pitches as needed  


CRITICAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS & INTERFACES

Inputs:

    • Actively collaborates with the Director of the line of business lending visibility into project and resource needs
    • Actively collaborates with both business development and contracting functions to complete and confirm client scope of work
    • Relies on Salesforce Opportunity data to obtain visibility into Projects Scope and Projected Revenue
    • Partners with Resourcing function to understand the available pool of individuals, team member capabilities, and availability

Outputs:

    • Resourcing Requests
    • Salesforce Project Records
    • Salesforce Opportunity Records
    • Project-specific deliverables (i.e., current state assessments, strategy, and plans, change and communications plan, strategy labs, learning and training courseware delivery, and other products and services deemed necessary)

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree 

Experience:

  • Experience conducting statistical analysis, projections, and trends
  • Working with the design & development of workforce composition metrics, dashboards, and infographics
  • Designing, administering, and analyzing engagement survey and questionnaire data
  • Strong proficiency demonstrated with Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a consultative role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to translate advanced data analysis techniques into common concepts understandable by all
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated conceptual & critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability with developing research questions and research design
  • Proficiency in statistical software and MS Office 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in Human Resources related function (Diversity & Inclusion, EEO, Talent)
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management software (i.e., Salesforce)
  • Experience in delivering innovative solutions in support of Diversity and Inclusion strategies
