Cook Ross is looking for an experienced Professional Development Lead to work in our Silver Spring office. The person in this role will develop and implement quality standards for our instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT) and train-the-trainer (TTT) programs. We expect this role to ensure TTT program participants are adequately qualified and prepared to deliver Cook Ross content and present product and service offerings effectively. The Professional Development Lead will develop and execute a system for onboarding all new employees, facilitators, consultants and support their professional development. This individual will create a learning program to ensure ongoing development occurs for the same constituents. Below are some of the responsibilities expected to be performed:
Strategy & Quality Management (85%)
Responsible for the overall management and execution of the internal credentialing process for Cook Ross. Includes the management of a facilitator certification database, which includes tracking of core skills, experience, and competencies; establishes process to qualify proficiency (credentialing) to deliver the work, including success measures.
Creates/manages and/or facilitates the professional development programs and process for all internal employees including individual development plans and on-going communications with managers and incumbents regarding employee development.
Creates/manages and/or facilitates the professional development programs and process for all external facilitators and consultants.
Audits delivery of internal and external consultants for quality assurance.
Collaborates/coordinates with the Learning and Innovation Team or other Subject Matter Experts to ensure development content for internal and client facing programs is developed and delivered to the appropriate audiences.
Collaborates with the Learning and Innovation Team to create and manage the train-the-trainer process for both internal and client facing courses, including pre-decision making criteria, delivery protocols, touch points with trainers post-training, and evaluating performance for continuous process improvement.
Delivers TTT courses to our clients as needed, using a co-facilitation model in concert with a seasoned Cook Ross consultant.
Ensures the TTT courses are updated for delivery with the most current content.
Provides the key stakeholders and leadership with regular feedback and reporting on consultant and facilitator performance.
Resource Management and Client Delivery Assurance (15%)
Partners with the Client Resource Manager to ensure assignments of facilitators and consultants match client requirements.
Participates in Company and Departmental Meetings, Development and Training Events (e.g. Weekly/Quarterly Meetings, Annual Retreats, Talent Reviews, Learning and Training Events, etc.)
10+ years of experience in adult learning, experiential learning, and facilitation
5+ years in curriculum or learning program design and development
Strong facilitation skills in the areas of Diversity & Inclusion, Cultural Competency and/or Leadership Development
Proven experience in trainer/facilitator development
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office programs, PowerPoint, Word and other Microsoft Office Suite programs;
Familiarity with the Salesforce platform is desirable.
Experience in creating and implementing quality standards for training programs
Strong organization and project management skills
Self-starter who is able to work independently
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate to achieve results
Proven accountability in managing deliverables.
