Job Summary 

Our Learning & Innovation team is looking for an Instructional Designer with a passion for making the workplace more inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible. In this role, you’ll apply your advanced knowledge of learning design to customize and maintain courses that teach learners how to disrupt their bias and cultivate inclusion and belonging in their organizations.  

As an Instructional Designer II, you will implement more complex training customization projects for clients and oversee the maintenance of existing learning products and services. You’ll also provide insight and support in scoping client projects and new product development as needed. Customize learning solutions  

  • Consult with clients to create, review, revise, and implement customized course content for  Instructor-led trainings (ILTs) and  Virtual Instructor-led Trainings (vILTs) 

  • Provide instructional design support for digital product customizations  

  • Offer instructional design expertise for business development conversations and proposals (mid-level customization projects)  

  • Conduct Rapid Instructional Systems Design (RISD) process  

  • Create design documents and storyboards to communicate instructional development plans to program managers, instructional developers, and subject matter experts 

  • Build and maintain customer (both internal and external) relationships by consistently delivering exceptional content and service 

 Support courseware and product maintenance 

  • Collect and analyze learning evaluation data to inform maintenance requirements 

  • Maintain, audit, and update content according to maintenance schedule for ILT, vILT, and digital products 

  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter and content experts 

 Project Management 

  • Create and oversee curricula maintenance project plans 

  • Manage course translations and localization projects and vendors 


  • 4+ years of instructional design and development experience or 2+ years professional experience plus a bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, instructional technology, or related field 
  • Experience designing and developing for multiple modalities or learning technologies 
  • Solid experience leading internal or external client engagements

The following are considered a plus: 

  • Experience designing eLearning that is accessible to people with disabilities 

  • Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe InDesign 

  • Content and product management experience 

  • Extensive project management experience 

  • Experience with organizational diversity and inclusion or intercultural competency work  

  • Higher professional qualification or master’s degree in a related discipline
