Job Description

What is Cook Ross? The ideal candidate would have done their own research. But in case you haven’t: Cook Ross Inc. is a fast-growing, Silver Spring based consulting firm whose aim is to provide powerful solutions to organizations in the areas of diversity and inclusion, cultural competency, leadership development, and organizational change management.

Cook Ross Inc. is seeking two full-time interns for the summer of 2017 for a period of 10-weeks. These paid internships will contribute to our mission to transform the world to be more inclusive, one organization at a time. One intern will primarily support our Client Services team with a particular focus on learning and development; the other will support our Business Operations functions, including business development, finance, and operations management. Both interns will report to the Director of Special Projects, who will assign both interns longer term, substantive projects that directly tie to the support of Cook Ross’ internal infrastructure and strategy.

Client Services Intern: Primary projects will include collateral research and copyediting, for instance researching examples of cultural competency in healthcare literary resources; conducting comparative analyses of content and existing intellectual property; website content support; and client facing admin as needed.

Business Operations Intern: Primary projects will include ensuring project data, updates, and metrics are maintained in a Customer Relations Management database (Salesforce); supporting accounts payable and accounts receivables financial functions; project administration for internal strategic initiatives, including companywide resource-tracking and business development pipeline evaluation; and light project management duties.

Preferred Internship Dates (flexible): June 12th - August 31st

*Preference for currently enrolled undergraduate students or Class of 2017 recent graduates. Please note Cook Ross does not sponsor visas but is amenable to F1 visa holders participating in OPT to join us for this internship opportunity.
