Contract Manager


Reports to: Director of Finance

Description: The Contracts Manager oversees the life-cycle of client contracts as the central coordinator across functions, including Business Development, Client Services, Fulfillment, Finance, and Legal. Properly executed, this role will handle a high volume of complex client agreements requiring a quick turn-around to ensure quality and mitigate risk. Beyond execution of contracts, this role will drive the evolution of the overall contracting process as business needs grow.



Contract Process Management and Execution (60%)

·       Drafting and executing contracts with clients and vendors

·       Negotiate conditions and pricing with clients/vendors

·       Oversee review process for Intellectual Property and Licensing needs

·       Identify and analyze potential risk to Cook Ross from contracts

·       Assist with third party vendor systems

·       Verify that invoicing is tied to contract milestones and values

Stakeholder Management (20%)

·       Ensure internal staff is aware of contract peculiarities

·       Work with all stakeholders to ensure contracts are expedited

Knowledge Management (20%)

·       Present final contract version to Director of Finance for signature

·       Develop filing system for contract management

·       Update and maintain contract data in Salesforce, including contract entry and close out process



·       Undergraduate degree preferred

·       3-5 years prior experience within an organization’s business or contract function with working knowledge of project delivery and key contract components

·       Knowledge of a standard client life-cycle in a consulting or professional services firm from incoming sales to project completion

·       Ability to work overtime when the work flow requires
