Internal Application: SQA Engineer

Summary Description

This is a Software QA (SQA) position supporting testing activities for Enterprise Social Network applications and must be able to work in a fast paced environment with other SQA team members, development, project management and multiple business functions. The responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to, SQA project management, test planning and management, manual testing, test automation, test environment/data setup, defect logging/verification, test case creation, leveraging test tools and ensuring the quality of requirements and their relationship to test cases. This team-oriented position will develop and execute repeatable test procedures, test automation, implement and support IT SQA practices across the IT organization.

Experience & Skills

• Experience in supporting and /or leading production releases/project test efforts
• Experience in test automation for web & mobile applications (Android & iOS)
• Experience in applying quality management best practices and implementing application lifecycle management that includes requirements management, test planning and execution, defects tracking and reporting, test automation and results analysis
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies
• Programing experience is must
• Excellent team player, verbal and written communications skills, customer service skills and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
• Work closely with development, QA, and customers to clarify requirements, follow up on issues, and reduce defects
• Advocate for long term quality over short term solutions
• Mentor other QA engineers in writing manual and automated functional tests

Knowledge, Abilities and Tools

• Experience or familiarity with the following technologies
• Testing frameworks and tools: mocha, sinon, nock, supertest, chai, assert, protractor, PHPUnit, jasmine, selenium
• Source control systems: Git
• Build tools: Maven, Gradle
• Continuous integration tools: Jenkins, GoCD
• Virtualization/Cloud environments: Docker, AWS
• Runtimes/Languages: PHP, NodeJS, Java, Javascript

Requirements:

3 to 4 years of experience in testing Web, Android, and iOS native applications.
