Internal Application: Senior UI / UX Designer

Job Summary:

Convo is seeking a dedicated Senior UI/UX Designer to join our Product team in Islamabad. In this role primary focus will be on achieving the ideal balance between business objectives, product design excellence, and customer-centricity, aligned with our brand’s mission and customer needs.

Duty Station: Islamabad | Hybrid

Major Responsibilities:

  • Passion for creating customer-focused design and market-leading user experiences
  • Ability to do comprehensive end-user and market research and present new ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create UI/UX research strategy and ability to gather requirements and take feedback from end users and internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify product gaps, generate new design ideas, optimize UX, and help the team improve product overall UI and UX
  • Should be able to develop comprehensive and scalable design systems that include reusable components, consistent typography, color palettes, grid systems, and interactive elements. These systems should follow design best practices, be easily maintainable, and cater to the needs of the target audience. Clear documentation should accompany the design system to ensure consistency and ease of use across teams.
  • Should be able to maintain and update existing design systems to ensure they remain current with evolving brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and user needs.
  • Should be proficient in leveraging ready-made design systems within Figma, such as Material Design, AntDesign, Android and iOS UI Kit/Guidelines, and know how to integrate them into projects efficiently. They should be able to customize and extend these systems while adhering to design principles and brand guidelines
  • Create Interaction/UX designs of product features in Figma
  • Ideate new product feature designs based on product feature ideas
  • Worked with customers to understand their design needs, elicit their requirements, and discuss them with Product Managers
  • Designing for marketing and branding of the product
  • Ability to create design systems from scratch, and based on design systems, create high-fidelity app designs and supporting assets using Figma
  • Must have hands-on experience in PhotoShop and Illustrator to create design components and supporting assets.
  • Work collaboratively with product managers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user experience.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes back-end and front-end engineers and product managers to create simple, easy-to-use interfaces.
  • Translate client business requirements, user needs, and technical requirements into designs that are visually enticing, easy to use, and professionally engaging.
  • Deliver all design assets and documents required by development teams for making pixel-perfect front-end

Requirements:

  • Atleast 4-5 years of professional design experience as a UI/UX designer
  • A strong portfolio on Dribbble or Behance demonstrating user-centered UX/UI Mobile/Web-based design skills
  • At least 2-3 product designs in Figma have been successfully rolled out into Production [Mention links/app names on your resume and show their source files during interviews]
  • Have a clear understanding of UX design systems, patterns, layouts, and UX problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with design tools and techniques including Figma, PhotoShop, Illustrator
  • Self-starter and proactive
  • A demonstrated history of benefiting from user data (e.g., end-user research) will be a plus.
  • Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of SaaS Products SDLC and SRLC
  • Customer-facing: Design presentations, Meetings, and Negotiations
  • Good Communication Skills
