Senior Python Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Backend Python Developers to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining robust backend services and APIs. You'll collaborate closely with frontend and architecture teams to implement new features and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality backend applications using Python.
• Design and implement APIs with a basic understanding of RESTful standards and HTTP protocols.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and DevOps engineers to ensure smooth feature integration.
• Work with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy to handle data storage and queries.
• Write unit and integration tests using pytest or similar frameworks.
• Follow Agile methodologies and participate in SCRUM ceremonies and sprints.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development (Falcon or similar frameworks).
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of security best practices for HTTPS/API communication
• Familiarity with SQLAlchemy or other Python ORM frameworks.
• Experience using pytest for automated testing.
• Understanding of REST API concepts and request/response lifecycles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in medium to large teams.
• Familiarity with Agile practices, particularly SCRUM.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data manipulation libraries such as pandas or polars.
• Working knowledge of NumPy for numerical operations.
• Ability to profile and optimize Python applications for performance.
• Exposure to message queues like Redis or cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus
