Product Owner ( Retail, Consumer Goods & Field Sales Technology)
Business Development | Hybrid in Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan | Full Time
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly capable Sr. Product Manager to lead the definition and delivery of a modern Retail Execution Platform that supports field execution, customer engagement, visit planning, order capture, and enterprise integration at scale.
This role requires a product leader who can balance business value, platform thinking, architectural alignment, and delivery discipline. The ideal candidate will own product direction across core retail execution capabilities while ensuring the platform remains scalable, configurable, integration-friendly, and aligned with enterprise technology principles.
You will work at the intersection of business stakeholders, engineering, architecture, UX, data, and enterprise systems, shaping a product that is not just a collection of workflows, but a reusable and extensible platform that can support multiple markets, tenants, and business models.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Scope Ownership
Own the product vision, delivery scope, and roadmap for the Retail Execution Platform.
Define what is included in each release and ensure strong control over what remains out of scope.
Translate strategic business objectives into a phased product plan with clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
Drive decision-making around core platform capabilities versus one-off feature requests.
Maintain a disciplined approach to backlog management, ensuring that the product evolves intentionally rather than reactively.
Shape the product as a platform, not just a point solution, with emphasis on reuse, configuration, scalability, and tenant readiness.
Ensure product decisions support multi-market and multi-tenant deployment models where relevant.
Partner with architecture and engineering to align product requirements with platform-native design principles.
Champion a configuration-driven approach wherever possible to reduce hard-coded business logic and improve adaptability.
Business Process and Domain Definition
Lead the definition and refinement of core retail execution business domains such as:
customer and outlet management
visit planning and execution
order capture and submission
field activities and guided execution
Convert complex operational processes into clear product behavior, rules, and functional requirements.
Define business states, transitions, validations, and user actions across the most critical execution journeys.
Ensure the product reflects real-world field realities and supports frontline usability.
Prioritize delivery across foundational platform needs, business-critical capabilities, and future extensibility.
Sequence work in a way that enables early validation of high-risk or high-value journeys while protecting long-term platform integrity.
Balance immediate market or stakeholder needs against architectural soundness and sustainable delivery.
Continuously evaluate trade-offs between speed, flexibility, technical constraints, and business impact.
Functional Design and Product Detailing
Create detailed product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and decision logs for engineering and QA teams.
Define business rules, mandatory inputs, validations, conditional behavior, and dynamic flow sequencing for key workflows.
Drive clarity in how users interact with the platform across roles, markets, and device contexts.
Ensure product behavior is consistent, intuitive, and aligned with enterprise data and process standards.
Configuration, Metadata, and Experience Modeling
Own the product definition for configurable experiences, including dynamic UI and rule-driven behavior where needed.
Help define how screens, forms, flows, and validations can be governed through metadata and configuration.
Ensure that configurable product elements remain understandable, maintainable, and aligned to business intent.
Partner with UX and technical teams to create a coherent experience model that works across multiple use cases without fragmentation.
Own product requirements for mobile-first or field-first usage scenarios.
Ensure the platform supports practical field operations, including variable network conditions and efficient task completion on the go.
Drive the definition of offline-capable execution scenarios and associated sync or reconciliation expectations.
Validate that product flows are operationally viable for frontline sales and execution teams.
A strong preference will be given to candidates who bring the mindset of an AI Product Builder and have hands-on experience shaping and accelerating complex SaaS product delivery using modern AI-assisted development workflows.
The ideal candidate should not only understand product management in a traditional sense, but also be comfortable working in fast-moving product environments where AI-enabled tooling is used to improve discovery, prototyping, product detailing, and collaboration with engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working as an AI Product Builder on complex, enterprise-grade SaaS platforms.
Strong familiarity with AI-assisted product and development workflows using tools such as Cursor, AntiGravity, and other vibe coding tools/frameworks.
Ability to use AI-native tools to accelerate product definition, requirement structuring, prototyping, flow design, and cross-functional execution.
Experience collaborating in environments where AI is actively used to speed up engineering delivery, experimentation, and product iteration.
Comfort working with modern product development approaches that combine business context, technical architecture, and AI-assisted execution.
Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in teams building configurable, scalable, and integration-heavy SaaS products.
Exposure to using AI tools for translating product ideas into structured specifications, user journeys, acceptance criteria, and delivery-ready artifacts.
Preference for candidates who can bridge product thinking with emerging AI-enabled ways of building digital platforms.
