Role Description
Convo is looking for an Automation Tester which plays a vital role in the software development process by creating and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of applications. This role involves close collaboration with developers and other testers to understand application requirements and integrate automated tests seamlessly. They also play a crucial role in the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline by ensuring that automated tests are run daily, helping to maintain software stability and support rapid development cycles. Additionally, automation testers are responsible for documenting and reporting any issues found during testing, while continuously seeking opportunities to improve testing processes. This position emphasizes learning and development, with a focus on enhancing technical skills and understanding testing methodologies.

Responsibilities
The Automation Tester will enhance the company's Test Automation Strategy by developing test scripts using a BDD approach, focusing on improving quality and identifying software defects. They will work with Automation Engineers to improve the Test Framework and collaborate with Manual Testers to review Test Specifications. Additionally, they will analyze automated test failures and provide support to other testers.

Technical Skills

• 3+ years of experience in industry.
• Experience with at least one of following programming language: Java, C#, Python
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium and Xpaths.
• Experience with Junit, TestNG, or any other framework for tests management.
• Experience with Gherkin or any other Behaviour Driver Developmnet (BDD) tool is a big advantage.
• Experience with Jenkins/Azure ADO or any other CI/CD tool is a big advantage.
• Good to know SQL and how to interact with Relational DB.
• Problem solving skills, and Testing knowledge skills are a plus point.
• Possibly thesis done or experience in Testing domain (e.g. ISTQB Foundation)
