Job Summary:
KHOJ is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Procurement to join our team for Allana Resorts in Karachi. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing procurement processes for the resort, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality goods and services to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Oversee the procurement of goods and services required for the operation of Allana Resorts, including F&B, amenities, operational supplies, and capital expenditures.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand their needs and identify cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure that all procurement activities are in line with company policies, budget constraints, and quality standards.
Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value for the resort.
- Monitor vendor performance, ensuring that quality, delivery timelines, and service levels meet expectations.
Inventory & Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to ensure stock is replenished in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, stock levels, and inventory usage.
- Implement strategies to optimize stock control and minimize wastage.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Assist in preparing and managing procurement budgets for Allana Resorts.
- Track procurement expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.
- Ensure compliance with financial and procurement regulations.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all procurement processes adhere to legal, regulatory, and corporate standards.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, stock levels, cost analysis, and vendor performance for senior management.
- Participate in audits as required and take corrective actions to address any discrepancies.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with operational teams, finance, and the hospitality management team to align procurement efforts with the resort’s needs.
- Provide support for special projects and initiatives related to procurement and supply chain optimization.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and vendor negotiations.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
