Director of Business Development

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, driven Director of Business Development who is more that just a closer – we want a sharp, confident, executive-caliber rainmaker who can authentically represent Converge to high-profile clients and strategic partners. This individual is the closer – the home run hitter who seals the deal with confidence, clarity, and impact, turning high-value opportunities into long-term partnerships. This role will sit at the forefront of Converge’s continued expansion, blending deep industry expertise with creative flair and collaborative energy.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead high-level outreach and relationship-building with senior decision-makers across brands, agencies, and performance-driven marketing teams.

· Own the full sales cycle from sourcing and outreach through pitching, negotiating, closing, and onboarding.

· Represent Converge’s integrated offering with passion and precision – from media and creative to analytics, and AI-powered strategy.

· Partner cross-functionally with client services, creative, and performance teams to ensure delivery aligns with the promise.

· Respond to RFP’s and actively participate in strategic planning for proposal submissions.

· Leverage market knowledge to uncover upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

· Analyze competitive trends and identify white space opportunities where Converge can win.

· Actively contribute to Converge’s high-energy culture of collaboration, performance, and creativity.

· Drive final-stage negotiations and convert complex deals into signed contracts.

· Tailor pitches and close strategies to each unique prospect, aligning business needs with Converge’s capabilities.

· Serve as the lead face of Converge in high-stakes pitch environment, confidently navigating client objections and securing buy-in.

· Set high standards for closing excellence and contribute to a high-performance sales culture.

· Develop and refine deal-closing frameworks that maximize conversation and shorten sales cycles.

· Partner with leadership to identify high-priority growth sectors and formulate strategies to win them.

· Lead post-close debriefs and handoff alignment meetings to ensure smooth client onboarding and long-term retention.

What We’re Looking For

· 7-10+ years of relevant experience in digital media, ad tech, agency-side sales, or growth-focused consulting.

· Proven track record as a closer and revenue generator.

· Confident communicator with polished executive presence – you know how to command a room and tailor your message.

· Deep understanding of the modern marketing ecosystem, including programmatic buying, data analytics, and performance measurement.

· Strategic thinking with the hustle and grit to get it done.

· Strong presentation skills, and comfort with both virtual and in-person pitches.

· Prior experience working with holding companies, major media buyers, or leading client brands.

Compensation

· Base salary: $150,000 - $165,000

· Performance-based commissions
