Senior Brand Strategist, Integrated Marketing

REPORTS TO: Head of Creative Services, Electus Digital

Overview:

At Electus Digital, the Senior Brand Strategist will play a key role in driving strategy across a suite of creative solutions, from branded to custom content. This person will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction, helping devlop creative ideas, and packaging programs for clients and partner agencies. The role requires a well rounded integrated marketer with strong experience in brand planning and digital strategy alongside an organized, detail-oriented, and fast-moving client service mentality.

This person will independently lead and manage a constant RFP process as well as supporting a growing creative agency service offering. He/she will be responsible for creating and maintaining all Electus Digital strategic partnerships, product marketing offerings, and their related sales materials.

He/She will enjoy working in a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment in a rapidly growing media and entertainment side of the marketing industry.

Job Description:

General

  • Oversee the development of creative briefs, ideation, and packaging of brand campaigns across branded content, native content, original sponsorships, advertising/paid media, in-product messaging, social media, and experiential/partnership activation
  • Ensure all solutions are strategically sound, meet client objectives, and follow digital, platform, and social best practices
  • Work closely with sales team to develop strategic programs and concepts for advertisers and do what it takes to sell them through
  • Work closely with GM, VP of Sales and Head of Creative Services on Electus Digital Sales Strategy to spearhead, position, and package all proactive partnerships, as well as educate sales team on how to sell them in marketplace
  • Develop, manage and execute boiler plate & tentpole events for potential sponsorships
  • Conduct, field, and analyze market research and reports – consumer research, measurement tools, and brand effectiveness studies
  • Keep fingers on pulse of cultural, digital, and social trends with the ability to apply them to client recommendations and internal team education
  • Fully immerse yourself in the humor, fandom and hip-hop categories to understand cultural influencers and identify revenue opportunities


Qualifications: 

  • 5-8 years’ experience in strategy/brand planning, preferably at a creative agency or similar role with a publisher
  • Excellent digital, social, and integrated marketing experience
  • Extremely organized, proactive, and detail-oriented client service mentality
  • Extensive experience with digital video and how to package video programs
  • Multi-tasker, able to work on several clients in diverse industries with varied needs all at once
  • Comfort with brand, media, and performance analytics
  • Visual story teller, able to make decks flow, tell a clear concise story, and look beautiful
  • Strong strategic writing skills – able to say complex things simply
  • Ability to present compellingly, confidently and convincingly - commanding respect in the room
  • Personable and work well in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
