Staff Accountant

 Primary Purpose:

 We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support the Controller and finance team with a variety of accounting-related activities.  Record and report financial transactions, reconciles accounts and produces accurate and timely financial statements as needed.  The ideal candidate will collaborate to help maintain the company’s financial health.  

 Qualifications & Experience 

 Perform day to day activities to support and participate in the monthly financial statement close process for Business Unit or functional area of responsibility.

  • Preparation of journal entries, including posting reclassifications and accruals as necessary, with appropriate supporting back-up documentation.

  • Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely as well as analyze and review financial statements and variances.

  • Prepare and analyze reconciliations on a timely basis, with follow-up and resolution of all reconciling items in the next accounting period.

  • Assists with yearend close processes and annual audit procedures.

  • Compile support and respond to requests from management and external auditors.

  • Ensure documentation is updated and maintained related to procedural workflow for each process.

  • Ensures internal controls and policies are followed.

  • Assist, as needed, in special projects.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Minimum two to four years’ relevant accounting experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products and proven ability to work with and produce complex Excel spreadsheets

  • Strong general accounting, US GAAP, process improvement, interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in an organized manner and manage time effectively and efficiently.

  • Ability to prioritize workload, oversee attention to detail.

  • CPA license (a plus)

  • NetSuite ERP experience (a plus)
