This is an entryway position for experienced JavaScript developers that want to transition their skills into the Salesforce platform. You will leverage your knowledge of popular frameworks such as React or Angular  to bring an innovative and elegant approach to building Lightning Web Components in Salesforce. To excel at this position, you have strong core JavaScript skills, have worked professionally with JS frameworks and have a desire to build a deep knowledge of the Salesforce technology stack in your future.

  • You can work with Designers to take HTML and CSS assets and bring them to life with JavaScript and the Salesforce platform.

  • You love refining and refactoring, but you don’t lose track of what the big picture deliverables are

  • You have a high standard for excellence

  • You are comfortable with transitioning from frameworks like React to Lightning Web Components

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and use development collaboration tools such as JIRA

  • Take full ownership of the user stories you commit to for each sprint

  • Work both independently and collaboratively with your team to deliver solutions that meet client expectations and acceptance criteria

  • Maintain a strong familiarity with and adherence to CodeScience’s coding standards and best practices

  • Use Git/GitHub on each project and practice team development using pull requests

  • Write test methods as a feature of your codebase, and not just a deployment requirement

  • Smoke test your work before you forward for testing

  • Record hours performed for each project on a daily basis

  • Proactively complete peer surveys to support the feedback process for individuals and continual craft mastery

  • Frequently utilize Trailhead and other Salesforce education tools to continually grow your skills

  • Learn the Salesforce Platform and earn Salesforce Certifications to support career advancement

Desired Experience and Characteristics

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional environment

  • A strong GitHub account and the ability to articulate your code

  • Capable of demoing to the client

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and Test-driven development methodologies

Required Technology

  • 5+ years of experience developing advanced user interfaces with advanced JavaScript and at least one JS framework

  • You must be able to think in terms of Web Components and eventing models

  • Strong HTML and CSS skills

  • An affinity for user-friendly interfaces

  • Comfortable working with command line tools

  • You will be expected to learn and adopt Lightning Web Components as the default JS framework
