WHO YOU ARE
You are a best-in-class Senior Network Engineer, with a passion for networking technologies and the years of experience to help Codero ensure the stability, performance, and sustainability of our next-generation data center networks and assist our DevOps and Development teams push the creative boundaries of new and innovative ways to automate and scale our networks and multiple data centers.
Highly autonomous, detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Has significant experience of supporting large scale, enterprise-class data center networks.
Previous experience working with Development, DevOps and Network teams to automate Next-Generation Networks.
You like to move fast, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This position’s primary role is to help proactively monitor and maintain the integrity and availability of all network, switches, firewalls, and security applications, and services in a 24x7x365 environment.
Provide backup and assistance to junior network engineers.
Sets, documents and adjusts standard operating procedures as needed.
Authorizes deviations from standard processes and procedures to mitigate and overcome outages to meet service level agreements.
Manages proper documentation of Incident and Change management records.
Participates in various working groups and boards related to process improvement and change authorization.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve security strategies and procedures across all business units and develop plans to address them.
Works with DevOps, Operations, and Engineering teams to define and refine information security and systems management policies and settings
Evaluates new and emerging products, technologies and make recommendations to leadership concerning the introduction of new technologies
Review, prioritize and recommend information security improvements as they relate to the achievement of Codero’s business goals and objectives
Coordinate, administrate, manage and monitor the use of access control systems security tools and intrusion detection systems to identify anomalous events and security infractions that exploit system vulnerabilities
Experience managing network cutovers
Other network and infrastructure duties as assigned.
Experience migrating configurations between Cisco ASA and FortiGate Firewall appliances.
Troubleshooting, upgrading, and supporting Brocade Fiber Channel Backbones and Switches.
Troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing Switches and Routers – Multiple vendor experience preferred.
Troubleshooting, upgrading, migrating and implementing Firewalls (especially FortiGate).
Troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing Load Balancer devices.
Managing, auditing, and deploying network device configurations.
Use of CRM ticketing systems in a NOC environment, Customer updates.
Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of Incident, Change, Problem, and Request management practices.
Diagnose, identify, and mitigate network security issues
Experience with: BGP-EVPN, BGP in a multi-provider environment, VXLAN, OSPF, IPv6
CCNA Security or CCNP Security
Strong experience with Ansible.
Strong experience with DDoS and other attack mitigations.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
