Title: DevOps - Operations Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas

As part of the Codero Operations Team, you will be working with some of the best developers to engineer, develop, deploy, maintain, and automate the next generation of Cloud computing and Hosting technologies.

  • Automate, deploy, monitor, manage, and continuously improve one of the fastest growing hosting environments in the world.

  • Lead and grow an exceptional team of highly trained DevOps specialists.

  • Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production.

  • Scale infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand and evolving technology.

  • Develop and improve operational practices and procedures.

  • Work in an agile development environment with short sprints and standups

  • Implement proof of concept, prototypes, and production-grade automation.

  • Maintain and support existing software and hardware systems, infrastructure and production.

  • Fearlessly seek out opportunities to improve, fix bugs, and challenge assumptions.

  • Coordinate and participate in Operations On-Call rotations.


  • 5+ years of professional Windows, Linux, or Ubuntu server administration.

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or VMWare administration.

  • 2+ years of experience within a high-performance, 24x7, DevOps, SysOps, or Operations team.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong understanding of the following technologies:

    • Advanced security and networking concepts.

    • Advanced troubleshooting techniques.

    • Active Directory, DNS, and Microsoft Exchange administration.

    • Enterprise Zabbix, Salt Stack, or ScienceLogic Monitoring administration.

    • Hands-on Apache, Tomcat, Cassandra, Kafka, or MySQL administration.

    • A passion for performance optimization, innovation and challenging existing processes.
