About the Role:

Coalition is looking for an experienced People Operations - HR Generalist to join our San Francisco office. You will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of all HR personnel administrative matters, as well as drive programs, processes and tools to support team growth and professional development.

  • Provide high-quality, timely HR support for Coalition employees in the US, Canada and Europe

  • Manage day-to-day HR processes & HRIS, including payroll & benefits administration, on-boarding and off-boarding, and reporting 

  • Partner with legal counsel to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws 

  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance company-wide

  • Support employee retention, employee relations management, performance management, and career development

  • Provide support to recruiting team as needed

  • Perform other duties related to being a key member of the Operations team


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in an HR role (benefits administration and HR compliance)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the HR field, including an understanding of federal, state, and local employment regulations

  • Experience supporting HR functions across multiple global locations

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner

  • Ability to multitask and adapt well to change

  • Proficient in G Suite, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
