Coalition was founded by repeat entrepreneurs, Joshua Motta (Cloudflare) and John Hering (Lookout), with a mission to solve cyber risk. We believe that cyber risk is among the most pervasive risks facing society, and we've built the first holistic solution to it by combining free cyber security tools to help prevent loss, expert response to mitigate it, and up to $10M of insurance coverage to recover from it. Our technology platform encompasses insurance, threat intelligence, patch and vulnerability scanning, DDoS mitigation, ransomware protection, and more. Coalition’s team of engineers, data scientists, security researchers, incident responders, and insurance personnel protect customers before, during, and after cyber incidents. About the role:
Marketing works across many parts of Coalition—from product launches to our website to marketing collateral. We’re looking for a talented content marketer to join our team to craft and polish the words that define the benefits, features, and value of Coalition to multiple audiences. Regardless of the project, you’ll be tasked with bringing clear communication to complex topics across our business, from cyber insurance to security data and everything in between.
We are looking for a creative, collaborative product marketer to join our fast-growing team.
Clearly communicate complex product features and benefits by taking a user-friendly approach
Structure, write and edit copy for product and launch materials—blog posts, white papers, marketing emails, presentations, landing pages, and everything in-between
Work on UX writing, user education, and narrative development
Can understand the Coalition tone of voice and help us augment it
Develop content strategies and copywriting for non-product-related initiatives, including efforts targeted at specific audiences
Learn, maintain, and hone style guides and shared nomenclature across Coalition
Help your colleagues at Coalition write more and better by providing tips, feedback, and playbooks
Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Aptitude to learn technical concepts/terms
A four-year degree in advertising, marketing, english, or related field
3+ years of content marketing or copywriting experience
Excellent team/collaboration skills
A portfolio of written work—please send writing samples
Familiarity with business writing specific to insurance or cybersecurity
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus

This product marketing role is based in San Francisco. We are a semi-distributed team, with majority in San Francisco, using Slack, Confluence, Git, Google Suite, and more for development and communication.
