Sr. Project Manager – USACE Contracts

Location: Greenwood Village, CO Corporate Office

City Light & Power (CLP) is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to direct, supervise and execute all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for client (US Army Corps of Engineers) projects. The Sr. PM works closely with USACE to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively utilizes strong understanding of USACE mission, policies, technical procedures, and project delivery business processes to plan and define program goals and devise methods to achieve them.
  • Work with department managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and construction services plans for various elements of the project.
  • Review design documents for conformance to company standards and compliance with USACE’s scope of work.
  • Generate and distribute reports on all project phases and financial performance.
  • Travel to the project site to monitor activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project meetings including pre-award, pre-construction, project progress and final close-out.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain effective client relations with USACE management and their designated representatives.
  • In coordination with Site Superintendent, develop and maintain site logistics plans and personnel assignments.
  • Will oversee the procurement process, cost control and change management systems.
  • Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of construction.
  • Set-up QA/QC procedures and conduct quality inspections.
  • Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field highly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) desired.
  • Seven to ten (7-10) years of experience managing medium to large sized multi-discipline projects with five plus (5+) of those years managing projects for the USACE or NAVFAC required.
  • Primavera P6 experience required.
  • Previous project experience should include working with blueprints, specifications, and proposals in order to successfully coordinate time/cost/labor estimates.
  • Must be capable of directing and managing a multi-discipline team of design engineers, architects, and technicians on government projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately.
  • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Travel:

  • Travel between job sites 20-30% minimum.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • You must be a US Citizen.
  • You will be required to obtain Military Base Security Access Clearance. i
  • Valid driver’s license is required with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy.

  • Salary range: $110, 000-$150, 000 based on experience plus eligible for participation in Short Term Incentive Plan.
