Job Title: Senior Electrical Estimator

Work Location: Denver, CO-Hybrid Work Schedule

As a Senior Electrical Estimator you’ll lead the development of competitive, accurate estimates for EPC microgrid, distribution, and high‑voltage substation projects. Your expertise in MV/HV systems, civil scopes, and construction methodologies will directly influence win strategies, cost accuracy, and overall project success. What you'll do:

  • Lead the full estimating process for EPC microgrid, substation, and distribution projects
  • Evaluate RFPs and prepare all required proposal documents
  • Develop complete project cost estimates, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor pricing
  • Prepare subcontractor bid packages and evaluate competitive proposals
  • Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site visits, and constructability reviews
  • Build and maintain databases for pricing, unit costs, labor productivity, and vendor data
  • Interface cross‑functionally with engineering, procurement, and PM teams to ensure accuracy
  • Identify value‑engineering opportunities and recommend cost‑effective solutions
  • Review proposals and schedules for compliance and completeness
  • Lead pre‑proposal risk analysis and mitigation strategies
  • Prepare pre‑proposal schedules and assist with proposal writing
  • Support project turnover post‑award
  • Perform other estimating and pre‑construction duties as needed

What you bring:

  • Ten (10+) years of electrical estimating or construction project management experience;
  • Strong experience with power generation, BESS, substation, T&D, or microgrid experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting EPC projects, renewable integration (solar/BESS), or Army Corps/government/utility‑scale infrastructure is a plus.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills required; ability to manage and maintain complex cost databases.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, one‑line diagrams, civil plans, specifications, and bid documents with a high degree of technical accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
  • Experience with estimating software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to resolve technical issues, prepare clear reports, and engage vendors and subcontractors effectively.
  • Ability to travel (overnight) up to 25%

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel is required.

  • Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/year based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
