Material Coordinator
Location: Long Beach, CA
City Light & Power (CLP) is a company at the forefront of the modern-day electric utility industry. We are a Subcontractor for a major utility provider in Southern California. CLP is growing and we're seeking a Material Coordinator for our Long Beach location. The Material Coordinator works in a fast-paced enviornment and will track ordering, receipt and use of material, and manage the material inventory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review work scope and submit appropriate material request to supervisor.
- Track receipt and internal distribution of all materials.
- Collaborate with field group to address material shortage issues.
- Balance material and conduct monthly inventory review. Generate monthly report.
- Communicate with Material Representatives regarding back orders or time sensitive material acquisition.
- Update database records with all pertinent information.
- Redline original work order documents with changes to original job scope.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year of previous billing experience.
- Previous utility industry work experience is a plus.
- Intermediate proficiency of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organizational and digital filing skills
- Able to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to type 40+ WPM
- Excellent customer service skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills
Schedule:
- Full-time, 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday-Friday
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly payrate: $24.00 to $28.00 based on experience
