Maintenance Electrical Worker Apprentice

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Worker Apprentice to work on the electrical system at our client site, Aberdeen Proving Ground.

The Maintenance Electrical Worker Apprentice works under supervision of a Crew Supervisor or an assigned Maintenance Electrical Worker in the installation and maintenance of OH and UG high voltage electrical system. This work includes Step Level appropriate tasks in the installation and repair of aerial and underground distribution lines and auxiliary equipment such as conduits, insulators, and poles. Will be required to respond to emergency callouts to restore electrical service as needed, and remote assignment, which may include work in adverse weather conditions.

• 1st Step Apprentices will not perform any “energized” work.
• 2nd-3rd Step Apprentices will perform “energized” secondary work.
• 4th-8th Step Apprentices will work on primary energized circuits under the direct supervision of a qualified MEW A or Crew Supervisor.
