General Contractor/EPC Assistant Project Manager
Location: Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA
CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking an experienced General Contractor/EPC Assistant Project Manager to join our team of Professionals at our client site, Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA.
CLPE is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years’ experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.
The Assistant PM will assist with coordinating construction projects from initial planning to scheduling, resource allocation and project accounting, through project close out. The Assistant PM supports the Project Manager and acts as a Coordinator and Liaison to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with compiling and distributing reports on all project phases and financial performance.
- Cultivate and maintain effective relations with the Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Support the Project Manager with developing the budget, schedule, and construction service plans for various elements of the project.
- Monitor onsite construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend project meetings including pre-award, pre-construction, project progress and final close-out.
- Work closely with PM and Superintendent to identify and allocate resources, including personnel and materials.
- Will track timelines, materials and progress according to schedule.
- Participate in and monitor the procurement process, cost control, and change management systems.
- Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of construction as needed.
- Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field highly preferred. Previous related work experience may substitute.
- Two-four (2-4) years of experience with building construction, materials, systems, field work or similar required.
- Previous experience with federal government contracting or federal construction activities is a plus.
- Detail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Organized, problem-solver with ability to multitask.
- Proficiency with MS Office, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Must have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
Travel:
- Up to 30% travel to various job sites.
Other Requirements:
- You must be a US Citizen.
- You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- Valid driver’s license required.

- We offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k with company contribution, paid time off and paid holidays.
- Salary range: $70,000-$85,000/annual based on experience, plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
