Job Title: Fleet Manager
Work Location: Denver, CO
City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join our team of Professionals in our corporate office.
CLP has built a reputation as an innovative, reliable, and responsive private Utility Development Leader. We support the federal government, military institutions, municipalities, and major utilities across the US, with financing, design, engineering, construction, and ongoing operations and maintenance for electrical transmission and distribution systems, as well as outdoor street, sport, and other recreational lighting.
The Fleet Manager will oversee commercial vehicles including operation, condition, external and internal policy compliance, and overall performance; Will manage fleet operations in order to support efficiency, safety and compliance with laws and regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer a fleet management program which tracks service and replacement of all company vehicles.
- Development of preventive maintenance program and schedule to obtain maximum utilization of equipment and minimize operational delays.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Transport laws and regulations.
- Provide technical advice regarding vehicle and equipment acquisition and maintenance.
- Manage budget preparation and administration, monitor and control expenditures.
- Monitor and track inspection of vehicles. Compiles data for reports; analyzes and reports usage statistics.
- Assists in ensuring compliance of driver qualification documentation and maintenance of DOT required compliance records.
- Tracks, audits, and maintains all DOT required training records, driver credentials, driver qualification files, and automotive files in accordance with the corresponding agencies.
- Ensures all permits and inspections are up-to-date and valid.
- Use data and analytics to monitor fleet performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and utilize fleet management software, telematics, and GPS tracking systems to monitor and optimize operations.
- Collaborate with outside vendors to acquire equipment, parts or services needed.
- Generate reports on fleet performance, finances, and other metrics for executive management.
- Enforce safety regulations and policies at all times.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree or Bachelor degree in logistics, business administration, automotive technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7+) years of experience in the transportation industry with demonstrated leadership capabilities required.
- Expert knowledge of best driving, vehicle maintenance, and other industry best practices required.
- Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and safety standards for commercial and non-commercial fleets required.
- Training or certification from National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) or the North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI) is a plus.
- Strong Math and data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software preferred.
- Understanding of vehicle mechanics including ability to identify when major repairs are needed.
- Ability to establish and monitor a budget.
- Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional organization, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
Travel:
- Minimal travel expected.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Valid driver’s license is required.

- Salary: $75,000 - $95,000/year based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
