CONSTRUCTION GENERAL LABORER

Location: Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA
We're seeking a Part-Time Construction General Laborer to support construction operations by performing assigned labor tasks in accordance with project requirements, safety standards, and applicable federal and contract regulations.
This role supports a wide range of construction labor activities across both Davis-Bacon–covered and non‑covered projects. The position assists with site preparation, material handling, and tasks that support skilled trades, while ensuring work areas remain safe, organized, and efficient. All duties are carried out under the direction of site supervision and in alignment with established project procedures.
This position is as-needed, with work scheduled based on project demands and operational requirements. Work hours will generally range from 0 to 25 hours per week, and may increase based on project needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation & Cleanup
- Clear debris, remove hazards, and maintain a clean and orderly jobsite
- Assist with work area setup, temporary installations, and general site organization
- Perform basic digging, backfilling, and material staging as directed
- Material Handling
- Load, unload, move, and position construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist with deliveries and verify materials against delivery documentation
- Assisting Skilled Trades
- Support carpenters, electricians, laborers, and other trades with assigned tasks
- Assist with tool setup, material preparation, and work sequencing
- Tools & Equipment
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools appropriate to assigned tasks
- Use light equipment when trained and authorized
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all site-specific safety plans and applicable safety regulations
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Participate in safety briefings and immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents
- Documentation (Limited / Field-Related)
- Complete basic field documentation related to assigned labor tasks, such as delivery sign-offs, safety attendance sheets, and timekeeping for personal hours
- General
- Follow instructions from site supervision
- Perform other labor-related duties as assigned
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:
- Prior construction or labor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, standing, and working outdoors
- Ability to follow directions and safety requirements
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- You must be a US Citizen.
- You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- A valid driver’s license with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy is required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Davis-Bacon–covered tasks: Paid at the applicable prevailing wage and fringe rate for the classification associated with the work performed.
- Non-covered tasks: Paid at the company’s standard non–Davis-Bacon laborer rate.
- This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position with an hourly wage range of $23.00–$25.00.
