Visual Design Intern

Engineering | San Francisco, CA | Internship

Job Description

About Us:

At CloudFlare, we have our eyes set on an ambitious goal -- to build a better web. We believe that with our talented team, smart technology and engaged users we can solve some of the biggest problems on the web. We already serve more web traffic than Twitter, Bing, Wikipedia, Amazon, Apple, Instagram and Zynga combined. Anytime we push a line of code, it affects over 200 million web surfers overnight. We are still a small team, well-funded, growing quickly and focused on building a world-class company.

CloudFlare is looking for a design intern to join our team to work across both the marketing and product teams.  This position will be exposed both to online and offline design projects including: designing the next CloudFlare t-shirt; making changes to the company website; working on marketing collateral for web and print; expanding the web interface of the CloudFlare service; and being a part of meetups and trade shows.

You could be an experienced intern, in school or a recent graduate eager to learn and get involved at all stages of the design process. This is an excellent opportunity to not only put what you’ve learned in school to use, but also get exposed to a high growth technology startup.

  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign in particular)
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience working on multiple projects at once

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of HMTL/CSS
  • Basic understanding of Javascript or other coding language.
  • A/B and multivariate testing to validate which ideas will perform best
  • Print and video production experience

Our sunny office is based in SOMA in San Francisco, CA. We are looking for someone to come in 2 to 3 times a week for between 10 and 15 hours. This is a paid internship.

Sound like somewhere you'd thrive? We'd love to hear from you. Submit your resume and a short paragraph to introduce yourself. Please include a link to your portfolio as well.
