As a Cloud Elements intern, you will work directly with our Digital Marketing Manager to manage day-to-day social media activities across a variety of channels. You will be responsible for the creation, curation and posting of content on all of our social networks. As a growing company with a fun and dynamic brand, we need an intern who will be dedicated to maintaining a consistent voice and feel, while helping us grow brand awareness and social following. We’re looking for someone that’s analytics-driven and creative.

Internship functions include:

  • Curate, Create and Post content on social networks

  • Monitor and report on demographic trends in the industry & related fields

  • Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter through influencers

  • Research opportunities for award submissions and industry recognition

  • Develop and manage a social media content calendar that can be used to update our leadership team and other departments

  • Collaborate with other marketing team members to create and manage creative and targeted social campaigns

  • Learn to ‘talk the talk’ of B2B marketing to developers and other technical personas

  • Office administrative help (office supplies orders, office party planning & offsite meeting coordination)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Undergraduate sophomore or junior pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communication or related major.

Availability: Ideally come into the office MWF from 9am-2pm (that’s when we have free lunch!), but flexible based on class schedule.  We are looking for someone that can commit to a minimum of 2 semesters or 1 year to gain the most benefit and experience from the internship program.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Must be proficient in using Social media sites (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google +).

  • Prior marketing experience

  • Experience managing business social accounts desired (not just personal accounts)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills

  • Passionate about writing and content creation

  • Ability to work well with others in a team

  • Self-motivated and ability to multitask

  • Excels in a fast-paced, startup environment

Nice-to-have Skills and Experience:

  • Social Scheduling tools (HubSpot, HootSuite, Buffer, etc.)

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (basic design skills in Illustrator would be great!!)​
