Scrum Master

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Scrum Master for a high performing team.  We need a diverse individual who is also an active and involved product owner, project leader, and collaborative and dependable teammate.  

As a Scrum Master at Cloud Elements you will ensure projects and processes are aligned for effective delivery of our core products and external customer facing, development projects.  You will facilitate scrum teams through the software development life cycle using Agile and Scrum methodologies, and work cross-functionally through the company to ensure delivered projects are effectively developed and deployed with the highest quality and client service.

More about this role:

  • Organize and facilitate planning meetings, daily stand-up meetings, sprint and release planning and other Agile development related activities.

  • Track and communicate team velocity and burn-down and sprint/release progress.

  • Deflect team distractions and remove execution impediments

  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility

  • Assist product teams with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.

  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools and best practices

  • Manages geographically distributed teams

  • Works with a team of bright, creative, and innovative engineers!

What we would like you to have:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a project manager

  • MUST be Scrum certified.

  • MUST be familiar with Java, Ruby, and/or object oriented development and web technologies.

  • High degree of initiative and sense of urgency

  • Exposure to SaaS, IaaS, PaaS concepts and current Cloud technologies.

  • Software development background is a must!

  • Must be comfortable in communicating with Executive Management.
